Vivienne Yang

Vivienne Yang is the founder and director of VillageOneArt, a women-led contemporary art gallery in Chelsea, New York. She holds an M.A. in Art History and its Interpretation from New York University. A former news anchor at the Hong Kong-based international broadcaster Phoenix TV, she spent years reporting on global affairs before turning her focus to visual culture. She came to the gallery from journalism and business, and both inform how she reads an exhibition. Since establishing VillageOneArt in 2018, she has presented exhibitions exploring identity, memory, and transformation, working with emerging and established artists from around the world.
