gaoyuan

gaoyuan is a New York–based curator, researcher, and experience designer exploring the intersection of art, technology, and spirituality. Her practice moves fluidly across visual arts, experimental sound, and moving images, engaging poetics and relationalities through immersive environments, informed by inquiries into cosmology, consciousness, and quantum intelligence, as well as ancient and contemporary techniques for expanded states of being. She is the founder of DMSN (Dimension) Lab, an experimental R&D platform for multisensory experiences across spatial, sonic, olfactory, and digital mediums, with a public launch forthcoming. She has held curatorial roles at Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, The Bronx Museum, M Woods Museums in Beijing, and Arsenal Contemporary in New York and Montreal. Her work has been supported by fellowships with ArtTable, Casa Muraro at the Venice Biennale, and the Jackman Humanities Institute. She contributes to publications including "The Brooklyn Rail" and authored the experimental catalogue 3 A.M. Provocations. She holds an MA from Columbia University and an Honours BA from the University of Toronto with a full scholarship.
