Alfa M. Shakya

Alfa M. Shakya is a writer, researcher, and podcaster from Lalitpur, Nepal. She runs and hosts How’d You Create That?—an art podcast about the creative process. She is currently the Editor-at-Large (Nepal) for “Asymptote”. Her creative practice includes fiction, creative non-fiction, art writing, and illustration. Shakya has a higher diploma in Writing & Research from The Open Institute, is currently completing an advanced research degree, and teaches courses on literature and arts. For Shakya, writing is a form of being, seeing, and knowing the world around her. She is also an award-winning Toastmaster.
